The Dulan Discoveries, No 3 (December 1996), 254 pp. The discovery of Tibetan-Tuyuhun "royal" graves in Dulan, Qinghai province, has necessitated a rewrite of the history of the Silk Road. This volume includes the article, "The lost kingdom of Tuyuhun", p. 5, and papers by Xu Xinguo (Director, Qinghai Cultural Relics and Archaeology Institute): "The Tibetan cemeteries in Dulan county: Their discovery and investigation", pp 7-12; "An investigation of Tubo (Tibetan) sacrificial burial practices", pp 13-21; "The buildings for worship and sacrifice above Tubo tombs", pp 23-35; "A silver casket from a Dulan sacrificial horse trench", pp 37-49; and, "An examination of the stone carving on the cliff face at Lusigou", pp 50-54.
